I have a 2012 F-250 XL work truck I bought from my job. I want to make it feel less like a work truck so the first thing that had to go was the center jump seat!

I refused to spend $700+ on a center console so I started researching around to see what else would fit. Unfortunately I couldn’t find much of any resources showing what else would fit my body style. I found some F-150 people fitting Expedition consoles, and F-250 people fitting F-150 consoles so I figured the Expedition console must fit in my F-250!

I found a 2007 Expedition at a local junk yard and got the center console with brackets for $80.

The panel lines don’t line up perfectly but close enough, I think.

Few things to note:

• It is not a direct fit! Some trimming of plastics is required along with some bracket adapters
• The Expeditions have a console shifter so I now have a hole in my console. I plan to 3D print a tray and make it into a wireless charging pad
• The rear A/C controls are not hooked up in my truck. The XL doesn’t have rear AC so I plan to remove the panels and replace with an inverter for 120v power
• My truck is equipped with 4WD and as pictured, the floor shifter comes in contact with the console. My thought is to modify the shifter to be less drastic of a bend to clear it
