I have the haynes manual and search a number of diagrams but no luck so far. it's right in front of the driver on the side well. This wasn't hooked up anywhere when i bought the truck.
The first image is where it starts (i think is a vacuum canister??)
and the second image is a mechanical cable it starts here, coming out of the left side of the bulge and ends here
Cruise Control is a GM term. The cable assembly connects to the throttle body. It's a mechanical connection to open/close the throttle body blades. Same place where the throttle cable from the accelerator pedal attaches.
ok think i found a video for it connects to on the throttle body. It is demoing the throttle cable but it also shows what i think is the cruise cable. Will try to reconnect this afternoon and report back. Thank you gentlemen!

lol . . . just for my info, what does ford call cruise control?
Thing is tho most ppl who are not familiar with Ford's inside terminology will know this as "cruise control", so I think that's what we should refer it to in general regardless of who coined that phrase, unless ofc we're talking about wiring diagrams in an EVTM or something like that. Hell I've heard some Europeans refer to this feature as "auto pilot" even 🤦♂️😂

Oh, I don't care in the least what people call it. I call it cruise control on basically all makes and models. I understand what they're talking about if they call it speed control, or something else (Auto pilot would throw me a bit though, I'd admit).
Some folks just seem to enjoy getting off on being pedantic. Call it what you want, even the folks that work for Ford will know what you're talking about.
