So this is my first thread here. I just bought myselft a '67 F250 Camper special which I imported to Sweden from the Netherlands where it was first registred in 2021. Still waiting for some paper work before I can start driving it.
I need to fix the shifter (A/T), the collar is broken. I have a new one and now need to paint it but cant figure out the paint code. Can you help me?
I would like to know all three colours; the light green and the white on the outside, and the dark green on the steering coloumn (the later is the most important one right now).
Welcome to the site. Since you have no paint code on your door tag, all I can think of is to go off this. https://www.fordification.com/tech/VIN67.htm.
The colors that make sense from here are, wimbledon white and lunar green for the body and holly green on that steering column. That truck has been on a trip and all the way from California.
Looks like a very clean truck.
https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pages/1967-Ford.html. The page on ford trucks doesnt show the lime gold but this page does. Ive never seen lunar green but after looking at the sample, that sure isnt it. It does look like the lime gold though.
I know, but the exterior of that truck is not either of those green colors for the 67 year. If that's factory paint, it might have been a special paint ordered truck since it does not have the paint code on the door tag. Best thing to do is go to an auto paint store and find a chip closest to the exterior color. I'd start with Lime Gold. Lime gold is a lot closer than Lunar Green haha. I'm sure the steering wheel is Holly Green.
Thank you very much for helping me out, now i can order some paint for the collar.
I think it is Lime green, but worn down from sun, wear and tear. Would be interesting to see other cars from 67' with original paint.
You could order a Marti report if you wanted it to be correct, and also get all the factory info about the truck. https://www.martiauto.com/martireports.cfm
If your not worried about being Ford correct, I wouldn't go as far as obtaining a marti report, I would just look at paint chips and get something as close as possible.
Since you have to take your column apart anyway . Take the broken piece to if you have one a PPG paint store and they can match it exactly. But since you are out of the US I don't know if PPG is world wide. You might have to go to a BASF paint store instead. My Late Dad bought a brand new 1967 Ford F-100 Camper Special in Lunar Green and Wimbledon White and what ever that top color ends up being it's sure not Lunar Green.
