Just for reference, because this took a bit of guessing using paintref.com, the paint colour used inside the engine bay (mostly on the inside of the fenders on my truck) in 1996 for the Light Saddle Metallic (DY) trucks is definitely Ford M code M 6786D, "Light Saddle".
It is not shown on the PPG 1996 underhood reference card above, for some reason, or on any of the colour cards I could find on paintref.com.
This colour was also reportedly (I cannot verify) used on the very similar colour DZ F150s and F250s in 1996. Since there is no paint chip for this "Light Saddle" non-metallic colour on paintref.com, and none of the colours on the PPG sheet above matched my engine bay, I guessed it was this M6786D colour, which appears only by name in a list of names of underhood colours from NAPA. I took the above Ford M code to a paint mixer who could cross-reference, and it is a perfect match to my engine bay paint.
