Activate electric surge brake switch in reverse

Hey, got a 93 F350 with what looks like a factory 7 round pin plug adapter on the truck. What pin has to have power to activate the electric surge brake valve on a boat trailer? This I the valve that opens up so you can back up the trailer with applying the surge trailer brakes. Also needing to find an adapter to go from this round pin plug to a flat blade tv type plug. Thanks

Use the backup lights pin,
center pin if wired correctly.
Most parts stors have all the different adapters

I did test light that while in reverse but didn’t get anything. Is it just wired to the reverse light wiring? Thanks

Power to the back up light circuit activates a solenoid that interrupts or blocks the brake fluid hydraulic circuit. They work well when they are wired up correctly.

You will need a flat five pin connector to round 7 pin adapter.
