1989 ford e350 5.8 extended. schoolbus seats 15, battling ac. My ac mechanic sent me the attached photos saying that hte tube that connects front to rear a/c is damaged and needs to be replaced soon. (I currently am replacing damn near everything else to battle miami heat. However he cannot find the part number or what it is called in ENglish. Can anybody from the group help
Can you take a picture of the compressor and a few more pics of the lines under the hood? Ford used at least 2 different compressors right around 1989 and they used different lines.
I have a parts manual and sill try to help find the part number if I can but, you will probably do better finding a local company that makes AC and hydraulic lines. I replaced all of the hoses on my 88 about 6 years ago. I was able to find them online but this year there is that are no longer available. The next time I replace any hoses, I am going to have a shop to just make them. A shop charges about the same price as if you can locate one online and a shop will use the new barrier type hoses. When you buy one offline it may be close to 30 years old. I always ask for the date on the original box label.
This is a generic pic from a ford p[arts manual. They do not include pics for each and every model. I need to know exactly which hose you are looking for so that I can look up the part number.
