yes, another IAC problem
I recently replaced my metal coolant hose under the intake manifold.
after reinstalling it the truck would not idle and i got a IAC code.
the truck runs and drives fine, but will not idle at all, immediately dies.
i replaced the IAC and it made no difference.
Could i have damaged the wires or have the wrong connector plugged in?
cani test at the connector for signal from the computer, if so what values am i looking for?

Sounds to me like you might have a vacuum leak.

There No leak large enough to cause this.
I have double and triple checked all lines and replaced a collapsed Pcv elbow.
also don’t think a vac leak would trigger a IAC code.
from my understanding that is generated via amp draw on the solenoid

well, maybe i need to take my last post back...
i have new codes that popped up.
origionally the codes were :
1504 Iidle air control curcut
0401 exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient.
now i have a p0455 evap system leak (large leak).. so could be a vac leak, but i still dont see how that would trigger the 1504 code..
thanks for the help

Think of it like this.
The IAC valve will try to compensate for a vacuum leak. If the leak is too large, the IAC valve would be extended to the lower limits of adjustment trying to compensate, but it won't be enough. The computer will see this as an IAC valve fault.

so i found the issue...
one of the wires had come loose inside the connector and had pushed back just enough not to make contact with the IAC pins..
