Iac 5.8 ?
My 89 F250 5.8 wont Idle down.I took off the IAC and cleaned it with carb cleaner,put it back on and it still idles up.If i dissconnect the IAC plug it idles right down.I didd all this with the engine warm.With the engine cold am I gonna have a hard time starting it with the IAC dissconnected?I assume the IAC is my problem could I be overlooking anything?

Check for vacuum leaks. Could be upper plenum gasket leaking or vacuum line. TPS will cause idle issues. Run a code scan to see if there's any codes. Usually IAC it won't want idle up if that's bad or dirty.
