Hey Ya'll. Just bought a 2000 F150 5.4L Off road. I was wondering where I could find the PCM. I need to get the keyless unlock code "Push button" for the door handle. The owners manual said I could find it on the pcm. Thanks for the help, Ya'll.

the pcm is on the passenger side kick panel. to remove you have to go to the firewall....remove the battery....and unscrew the bolt that holds on the wiring harness. then go back inside the truck and unloosen the two bracket bolts and the unit will slide right out. hope this helps.
Hi!
I was wondering if anybody knew if I can "count the # of flashes" on the pcm/ecu like we used to be able to do on older cars. I currently have a 1997 F150 and the check engine light came on. I don't have a OBDII tester, and I don't want to pay a mechanic $40 just to pull the codes. Is there any other way to do it?
THANKS!!
On these trucks there is no way to get codes out of the PCM without a scan tool.
If you have an Autozone close buy apparently they will scan it for free. Just don't let them talk you into buying any parts until you're sure of what you need.
Hi everyone. I wasnt to thank you guys for helping me with my earlier questions. This website is great!
I have another question......
I pulled the codes on my moms 1997 F150 and came up with 5 different O2 sensor codes...P0135, P0135, P0141, and some others. They all referenced
O2 heater circuit malfunction and O2 sensor circuit malfunction..sensors 1 and 2 on Banks 1 and 2.
I am wondering if I am just supposed to replace the sensors...or what? Can I clean them with anything? Will that even help? Or do I need to replace them all? I bout a Haynes manual but it doesn't say where Bank 1 or 2 is.
Please help =(
