M5OD/1356-bw setup

when driving down the road in my 94 F150 with the M5od tranny It seems reluctant to want to shift quickly, If i shift slowly its works fine, when I try to "throw it in to any gear it I get alot of resistance and i hear sort of a muffled click. my qustion is, is there anything I can do to fix this, or does this have somthing to do with the general crappiness of the M5od.
Also if hardworkinford is reading this I was wondering on your swap if you had the 1356 borg-warner transfer case?
also anybody know a good source for a ZF tranny in which i would be willing to rebuild?

any help would appriciated, Thanks

Talking

Yep, I am reading this and I do have the 13-56 BW transfer case. Mates nicely to the ZF.

This is a sounds like worn syncro rings. My suggestion is to change the fluid from Mercon to Type F. Mercon contains additives for automatic transmission clutches that can delay syncro "hookup". An almost no cost mod.

Could always double clutch. =D

The M5OD is definatly not a speed shifting tranny at all.

Perhaps changeing your shifting rpm's would increase your shifting. So the tranny is spinning at a different speed. It can make all the differeince in the world.
I never knew about it till a few days ago when my friend explained it to me. And i've been trying different rev's to shift at to get a smoother shift. Unfortunatly, my sticking throttle makes it a pain to shift smooth cause the throttle cable or the Cruze is sticking.
Maybe i'll go fix those right now.

I'm currently trying to kill my already wounded M5OD so I'll be forced to put a decent tranny in.
