I’ve got an 1988 f350 with a 460. I haven’t had the truck very long. I was driving it and it died. I tested spark and used a noid light to test injector pulse. I found the fuel pump in the tank was bad. I replaced that and it started but it runs really rough. I found a vac leak on the top of the vac tree in the valley on the intake. I don’t see any loose hose in that area. I’ve searched forums and the internet for a few hours now. I’ve checked the vac routing on the hood but it doesn’t seem right. If anyone can tell me what is supposed to go on the top of that tree I would appreciate it.I’ve capped it off and it still runs rough.
you have a 1988 f350 with a 460. You should suspect all vacuum lines unless you know they were already serviced. PICS Would help too.
Post a pic of your VECI too.
Use a propane torch unlit while engine runs to find vacuum leaks, propane will make it idle higher

I know I have a hose off. I’m just not sure what should go there. It comes from under the intake where the vac tree is. It’s the 3/8 fitting. One line goes to the fuel pressure regulator and the other goes to the vac res. I have no clue what comes off the top though.
