With 250k miles on my 16 year old 6.0 I've been looking forward to a new order on a 6.7 for a long time now, most likely a final truck purchase as I keep/maintain vehicles until the wheels fall off. And just my luck the timing of it all prices are through the roof. I m going to have to get a good deal to be able to order a '23 MY, but waiting another couple years does not seem like an option and by then SDs may be hybrid or more expensive, or both. But I will not pay MSRP on a "truck" when a Toyota has the same exact same tech features for half the price.
Ford's new CEO is flat out horrible with the new direction he is pushing the company.
I’m at a loss as to why Toyota is even in the discussion. what Toyota is on par with SD in capability if you are coming from a 6.0 and looking at a 6.7?
their strong suit was perfecting an older and more mature set up and that worked well for many years but with their switch to all v6 turbo and that awful front end even if I was looking at half tons I would not consider them for at least 3 MYs or until until their turbo six proves to be reliable and in the far chance that the front end gets dialed down a bit.
Sure, there is demand for new trucks. But like I said, I was speaking for myself. For the general public, $80.000 and up trucks are not going to be in widespread demand. Too many people are struggling.
In my area, Colorado Springs. The used truck market has slowed down, according to the used car manager at the Ford dealer. Another obstacle is getting people financed. Good credit is getting scarce!
The prices are getting out of hand. Happy to have a 2021 because I don’t know when this will calm down.
I will be in Colorado Springs in less than three weeks for camping. First time to the western mountains. Picture of the area look amazing.
