1968 F250

I have a "68 F250 390 cu.in. with C-6. The problem I'm having is when the trucks sits in the garage for a week it's very hard to start, there is no fuel in the carb bowl. I did rebuild the carburetor and the truck runs great once I get it started. Could this be a power valve problem? Where does the fuel go? I also replaced the fuel pump the same time I rebuild the card. Thought I would ask for help before throwing money at it.

Fuel evaporates or drains down due to a worn need and seat in the carb.

What kind of connection do you have from the fuel pump to the carb? Rubber fuel line will leak just enough to drain the carb some times.

Do you have a gas smell in the garage after it sits overnight buttoned up?

There might be some kind of check valve in the pump that is weak also.

Not unusualy for a carb'd engine to be hard to start after sitting.
