.017, the same as all Ford V8s from the introduction of the OHV models until the end of points--for single points. This can vary a little bit, and you can fiddle with it if you want to see what your engine "likes". The real "tune" job would include a dwell meter and adjusted to the best number--which I don't know and never used. I just tightened mine up a little as I used to run the wee out of my 289.
