I am looking for some advice on 4x2 vs. 4x4 size. Are the 4x4 and 4x2 interchangeable as far as mounting? I know the 4x4 are bigger, but can they be mounted together.

Ignition coils are all the same. Are you talking about coil springs for the suspension?

Chris, coil springs are wonderful in that you can do a little math and the springs you put in will put your ride height dead on. Do a search on Google for "coil spring rate calculator".... one race shop has a really nice one. Anyway.... once you know things like wire diameter, no. of coils, spring diameter, and free length you will be able to expertly select exactly what changes you want to make and what spring to find to get what you want. Use the springs you have now as a starting point. You will be wanting to select two things in your springs... what rate it has (this is expressed in lbs per inch) for a softer or firmer ride and what its free length is so you can get the ride height to come in correctly. One cool (or hot) trick is if you get a spring you like but it is a little to tall... compress it with some threaded rod and bake it in your home oven. It will take a new set! The only problem is spring are sold aftermarket application specific so you need to find a nice guy (or girl) at the spring wharehouse who will let you walk around with you dial caliper and tape measure until you find what you want. You can also have springs custom wound to your specs.... this I think is about 3-4 times as much as buying them off the shelf. Good Luck!
