As I am getting nearer to getting Liberty to go home I am once again planning my transmission swap. I need some help getting measurements which I am unable to get since I am not home.
my truck is a 66, Fe 352, long bed, 3.03 transmission. I need the length of the transmission so I can tell the driveshaft shop how much to cut. I need from the face of the transmission to the back of the yoke. My current trans has the fixed yoke so that is what I will need a measurement of.
if needed I can get pictures of exactly what I am talking about, pulling from google. Thank you to anyone that can help me out!
Call the driveshaft shop and let them direct you on how to measure for the correct length driveshaft for your application.
You generally only need 1” travel.

Yes I have called and this is their instructions: find the difference between transmission lengths, and subtract one more inch from that for “travel” though in this case travel doesn’t not matter since it is a two price driveshaft.
The best I can measure mine it is 20" from where the transmission bolts to the bell housing to the end of the yoke. That close to the center of the u-joint.I have a 66 LWB with a 303 transmission. Hope that helps you,
The 3:03 I have out back came from a 65 LWB. It is 19 3/4 from the from the mounting face to the flat on the yoke. Considering the angle of the tape I would say 19 11/16 would be close with my tape measure. Tape measures aren't the most accurate things. Good luck.
