I did find an old thread on this thought I would bring it up again. I'm only a couple of thousand miles away from the 30K fuel filter change. My book says the part number is FD-4631 but there is no such thing. I called my dealer and he did not have an FD number but found another number Ford uses which was LC3-Z9N184-A, which when I googled it shows it is FD-4641. They are available and can be had for $70ish. My question is about a couple of filters I had bought for my 17 F350 which was traded for the 20. The part number for those filters is FD-4625, HC3-Z9N184-J but comparing pictures to the FD-4641 they look identical. In the older thread about the FD-4631 being a bad number some said the FD-4625 for the 17-19 trucks would work on the 20's. I certainly don't have an issue with getting the newer numbered filter but if the ones I have will work I would like to use them. Just wondering if anyone has used the FD-4625 on a 20 or up model or maybe knows what the difference is.
I would use up the FD-4625 that you have if it were my truck. There was a period of time that the Ford dealers and other Motorcraft parts retailers were selling the FD-4625 AA (AA being the kit with the clips for the 17-19) as being the correct filter for 2020+. I'm sure many 2020+ owners have used them. At some point the FD-4641 became available and listed as being for the '20+ 6.7l.
My thoughts are, because the 2020+ do not require the clam shell clips that are included with the FD-4625 AA, they just asigned a new part # for the '20+ with the only difference being that it doesn't have the unnecessary clips. Saves some waste.

Whenever I had input the FD4641 number into one of the online oem Ford parts websites, it would return the FD4625AA as the substitute for it.
The FD4625AA works fine, have it in my truck now.
You can pick up the oem Motorcraft filter set on amazon for $57-$58, one seller selling a 2-set for $113.90.
I used the filters I had on hand for my previous 17 SD and trashed the little plastic clip that was in the box. Perfect fit and no issues after 500 miles. Thanks.
17-22 same filter. There are 2 filter part numbers out there because the 17-19 come with a little plastic sleeve to snap on the return line cause it breakers off, and there is a filter that doesn’t come with it.
