engine angle

Hi all, looking for some technical information regarding the angle the engine is relative to the horizon. Strange question but I have an issue with the carb angle due to changes made with the engine mountings , the carb is at the incorrect angle and the truck and suffers from fuel starvation accelerating uphill only, so I need to address this issue. I think the angle is 4 degrees but not sure. I wonder if anyone could measure this angle for me . Thanks for your interest
Steve.

I have my engine set 3 degrees at ride height, with no problems. Don't think 4 degrees is going to be an issue. I'd have a look at the float level and for any possible fuel delivery problems.
Good luck

It's my understanding engine angle has more to do with setting proper pinion angle, and due to many variables there's really no set hard and fast rule regarding degree of engine angle. I'm in agreement with Rust Wranger ie: float, I'd also try and track down/eliminate any possible fuel restriction issues, weak Pump, inline fuel filters if installed etc..?..
Out of curiosity how full is tank when this occurs?.

The level of fuel in the tank seems to make no difference and the outlet pipe sits at the bottom of the tank. If under acceleration on level ground or down hill there is no issue , it's only uphill fuel starvation occurs with the engine cutting out, if I ease of the throttle power is resumed. I wonder if there is not enough fuel being delivered to the carb , and more fuel is used going up hill ? Were only talking of a hundred yards or so before this occurs. It is strange for sure

Air, Fuel, or Spark - If your getting good Air (clean filters) and good spark (non fouled plugs) and carb mix is adjusted properly, I think I would be concentrating my initial efforts eliminating anything that is not allowing proper "fuel volume" to get to that Pump. inline filters, line sediments, tank sediments, etc.......( a weak pump in and of itself will cause loss of power when the vehicle is under Stress, ie:. acceleration while going uphill.
