So towing uphill the effective range would be 40 miles at max capacity. That's with the extended battery too.

I wonder what that would be in normal but hilly terrain? Typical roads around the Rocky or Appalachian mountains where you're up hills and down hills and up hills the entire trip? Could you make it 80 miles? 100 miles? Anxious to see the future testing they're doing.

Hopefully they run Boulder to Ike or Boulder to Laramie and back to judge the realistic range.

With a bed full of batteries it could tow farther but then would have no payload. Electric vehicles and towing don't go together- at least not the current ones.

Did you see the .45kWh rate at the charging station? EV's aren't practical at those rates..

The gas/hybrid crew cab they used back to back has a 26 gallon tank and got 3.9 mpg up hill so figure about 100 miles of uphill range with the same load ona full tank, or 80 if one never runs below 1/5 of a tank.

with rolling hills both would recuperate some range with regenerative braking.

you are correct, the hybrid f150 has a 30.6g tank, 26 is listed as for the gas only ones.

So figure about 120 miles all uphill nonstop.
