Engine SN?
Read on one of the post here that the engine SN is somwhere around the fuel filter unit. Was looking today and on the front of the oil resevoir in front of the fuel filter was a sticker that had in big numbers 1831022C97. Is this my engine SN for my 02 PSD? If not, where else should I look? Thanks.
Might add that on the resevoir was another sticker with some numbers that where smaller that makes me think that they were for the resevoir it self.

look on the valve cover sometimes its there starts out with 8 or look on the block at the oil filter area.there is a machined surface just to the right of the oil filter the s/n is stamped here.i had to use flashlite and rub some oil on it to see it.

On an 02 the sticker should still be there. On the top of the drivers side valve cover at the front. It will have a bar code, the engine serial number, and the production date.

Thank guys...found the sticker on the valve cover. It was about to peel off so I just went ahead and pull it off, laminated it and stuck it in the console. SN 1757459 Sept 28 01. Would this have been a early or late build motor for the 02's? Thanks again
