X-pipe “nascar” clearance?

I am on a hunt for information.
other than doctor google, I am looking to replace my side pipe exhaust to an old school iroc nascar exhaust (see photo) . But would it need to be customized or even be possible to make the clearance requirements for the X to move out of the way of the other important things like cross members, divorced differential drive line? Anyone done anything like this before? Current 351M was long tube headers into dumps behind the cab.
Thanks,
matt

You will ne a very talented exhaust shop to get that idea to work. And on a 4wd it is even harder. And the fact you have fenderwell exit headers makes it even worse. If you want an X pipe you are going to have to get the pipe routed back inside the frame X'ed and then back out each side.
With inside the frame exit headers it might be a little easier.

I think best hope for an X with fenderwell headers is gonna be a long cross over tube.

Nascar cars sounded better back before they started using 180 degree headers or "X" overs.

Sounds like a cool idea but arent nascars 2wd race machines that turn one direction around a circle track.

A 4wd pickup is a far more usefull and adapting machine that can turn both directions driving comfortable in various terrain. Race car exhaust isnt going to help it do its Jobs any better.

But it does Sound like a cool project, you can drop it off at my shop and ill get started on it this evening

Why worry about a crossover at all. cutting your pass time from 28.2 to 28.1 isn't worth the effort.

I did a crossover on mine but the mufflers are directly behind it. Exhaust is not the same length left to right. You could probably have the crossover in the center if you do not mind the exhaust hanging down lower.
