Hey guys I have a slow oil leak coming from what looks like underneath my hpop. Can anyone tell me what the common leak points are under the hpop? It's not coming from the hpop lines going to the heads , the large plate on the back with the snap ring seems dry, and the ipr is relatively new. I've seen someone post a picture on here of the back of the hpop showing the different leak points but can't seem to find it. I have been thinking of putting in a CNC Fab hpop but they are 4 weeks out so not sure if this leak will hold out that long. I have 160/0 injectors so if anyone can recommend whether a stage 1 or stage 2 would be better that would be great also. The hpop is probably the 1 thing I haven't had to deal with on these engines yet so I'm just trying to get some feedback, thanks for any help.
That's exactly what I needed, thank you Y2K. All the times I've looked at guzzles write-ups I never knew that was Bob from diesel o rings LOL. I will get everything cleaned up and try the paper towel trick see what I can find, hoping it's not the non-serviceable plug. Is it safe to assume that it wouldn't be a bad idea to go in head and replace my h-pop with 255,000 MI? Or do these generally go for a lot longer? I use this truck to make a living so trying to look at the least amount of downtime possible. If I have to pull the h-pop for a non-serviceable plug then thought it might be worth it to go ahead and replace. With that said I am able to hit over 3,000 PSI and can probably sustain 2700 PSI with my custom tunes so it may have some life left in it.
