Well, looks like i finally got the dreaded HPOP leak from a line or oring. Oil has built up on the drivers side of the pump and of course in the valley. I looked to see where it was coming from. Looking at one of the fittings i see it is really cleaning like frsh oil has been flowing out of there. So, im going to put a wrench on the fitting and if i can tighten it, i will replace the Oring. Talked to Joey at Terminator and thats what he suggested
Once the leak starts, you should replace the o-ring. Whatever else you do is delaying the inevitable.
I had the dealership fix a HPOP leak not too long ago. (I know, I know. But this one has a dedicated truck shop with a good rep. And I didn't have time to do it myself.) They replaced the fittings along with the o-rings. If you are going in that deep, might as well put new fittings on while you are there.
You sure its the fitting and not the non-serviceable plug?
Almost 99% positive it is the fitting connected to the hose, it was clean like oil was flowing out of there. I looked at both. I also just ordered a HPOP/Unserviceable plug oring kit from Clay. Just need to keep an eye on this oil til i get the kit
Let me know if you need an extra o-ring. I have a kit I made up with plenty of spares, All of them are Viton 90's. I can mail them pretty quick if you need.
