Ignition Control Module came in and I finally got a chance to install it. The truck now runs much better. Not perfect, but better. I've got some vacuum leaks to chase down and I've got a sneaking suspicion that the injectors may be sticking open, but I need to obtain a fuel pressure gauge to check that. So in conclusion, ICM's do not always completely fail, they can just cause a weak spark.
Another thing to think about would be to put a new fuel filter in the reservoir under the cab. I replaced mine when I could feel the truck starve for fuel while driving. I bought a new housing as mine cracked while unbolting from the frame rail. I used a chain wrench to rotate the cap off it. If you can spin the cap off, NAPA has a great filter for about $12.00.
There are a few small things you can do to help it run better.
Mine has an inline filter, not a reservoir. I've replaced it once, but intend to again. We put a new pump in the tank, and I think that may have stirred up some trash.
