V8 Ranger

Has anybody completed a 302 swap in their ranger? I,ve purchased a run out 302 core from a 84 Bronco ( first mistake ), can anybody tell me which balancer and flexplate set up would be required for this year engine, I thought it should of been the 28.2 oz setup, but the shop that we sent the crank etc. to balancing say's it needs to be a 50 oz. setup. This engine had been rebuilt by persons unknown, so only god knows what was put in it. Anyhow with the departure of the 2.3 and the installation of the 302 with Edelbrock performer heads, cam and manifold, Holley 600 cfm 4V, Kaufman Headers, engine mounts etc. and a C4 tranny, this little truck should be a blast to drive .
If anybody has any input it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Welcome to FTE Al Bennett. At the top right of every page is a search button. Do a search on any questions you have. On the issue of the balancer, are you planning on buzzing that 302 over 7k? If so, you should consider a fluidamper or other aftermarket damper.

Thanks, I'll try that search button trick. I'm not yet completely familiar with the site but Ill get there.
Actually I plan to limit the 302 to approx 6K, I am using a mild cam for torque in low to mid range for street use.
