2015 4x4 with 100k. Every once in a while when the steering is all the way to the right I get a 'clunk'or 'pop' from the driver's side front end.
Tie rods, ball joints and sway bar links are tight. I thinking CV shaft because it only happens when I'm moving. Anything I am overlooking before replacing the shaft? TIA
I have a '16 2.7 4x4 135k
At work we have a wash out at the edge of the asphalt where our gravel parking lot starts. I too have noticed a good little clunk at full right lock once the truck falls into the gravel wash.
Everything seems solid, my only remedy is to swing a little wider and avoid turning it to full lock. Also this happens at or around walking speed, and has also happened way more than once.
Confirmed the noise is coming from the driveline, not front end. Talked to the dealer today and going to be difficult to pinpoint because it is intermittent.
Grease the output splines for your driveshaft. Easy to do and often times that's the issue. Also, I've never heard of a motor mount going bad in these trucks but it might be worth a look.
