Very close. Shelby said it will be ready to ship on Wednesday. They have been waiting for sleeves for the block. For the 4.375 bore they have to put in a different set of sleeves that they didn't have when I ordered my block. My typical luck.
All the other stuff is here waiting for the short block with the exeption of the valve covers and the Erson rocker assembly. I'm going to use the Unique Aluminum products fabricated valve covers, and decided because of my spring pressure to go with ersons and sell the Harland Sharps that I have.
As soon as the block shows up I'll put everything out and shoot some pics for everybody. If anybody has specific things they'd like to check out I'll post pics of it as well.
For now it's back to biting my nails and watching the calendar.
Did you get the Ersons that are already setup for the Edelbrock Heads? It sure was a pain installing those shims. And even at the best scombination of shims I could manage, I still don't like the alignment and the 2 center arms are a bit tighter than the rest.
I have contacted Rob at Blue Oval. He is getting me a price on the Edelbrock shimmed Ersons. Just for reference I'll post the part number and price when I get them.
I just stopped by Rob's last week and picked up my "fresh" .060 390 short block. Sorry but I have to say that working about 2 minutes from his shop is a BAD thing .
