6.2 Long Crank

Took my 19 F350 in this morning for the long crank it was just getting to bad actually embarrassing at 29,000 miles. Dealer took it right in put the new pump in 2 hours later back at the house. So far so good have tried multiple times to see if it cranks right and it has. Fingers crossed that pump fixes it dealer said they have done 100’s and none have come back yet.

Your symptoms are usually caused by a bad check valve in the fuel pump.

These engines don't make it easy to check fuel pressure either.

Day 2 good no long cranks hopefully it keeps it up. I will have to look on my Nguage but I believe there is a pid for fuel rail pressure.

Mine seems to crank long when I use premium fuel. With regular it fires up normal. Anyone else notice this?

Never run premium in mine so no first I’ve heard of it though.
