Alarm setting keeps reverting

I have gone into my settings and change the alarm to Perimeter from ALL. When I turn the truck off then back on, the setting has reverted back to ALL. Is there any way to keep it on Perimeter without using FORScan? If not, can it be changed in FORScan?

Your truck has the option you did not even know you had. Were the settings for the alarm are worthless. Just consider yourself lucky you did not pay extra for that worthless option. Don't worry I have it as well as most others. Plenty of treads on here on the alarm. Nice to see Ford still not has fixed the issue. I unplugged the interior sensor and all is good.

Where is the plug?
My dogs would appreciate it for when their inattentive owner is inattentive to their needs…

I have this same issue. Dogs trigger the alarm while I'm in Whataburger getting breakfast. At least they know I'm bringing them a snack. I'm getting better about remembering to change the setting. I have considered putting black tape over the sensors.

The plug is in the overhead panel. The two little sensors that look light led lights are the sensors.

I know it’s an old thread, but I fixed the problem of having to select the setting, each time I turn off the truck.

2019, F250, XLT

Under SETTINGS/Vehicle/Advanced/Alarm settings you have the choice of ALL SENSORS or PERIMETER SENSORS. Below that, there is a check box for ASK WHEN EXITING. Uncheck the box and select Perimeter, and it stays set.

I think the ASK WHEN EXITING always reverts to all sensors. I’ve been fighting this for 1 1/2 years, but by playing around with the settings, fixed it.
