Parked my truck over 6 years ago my clutch worked fine then, well now with new slave and master cylinder my clutch slips, I've fiddled with the push rod arm in different positions and I either have slip or no slip but when I have no slip I can't disengage to drop into 1st or reverse. any thoughts? Swapping the oem dual mass clutch seems eminent.
The Brass wound Luk clutches are really good.
And also Valair is made in in the US and you can get a brass wound from them as well and a new flywheel.
Or you can get ... higher HP rated clutches from valair depending on what you need.
Check that swing arm for full travel? Pedal box bushings?
Agree, the DMF will fail in short order on these. Mine even has an OASIS for it being done around 99/00. Which would have been around 60-70k I think. Luk SMF kit seems to be very popular and works well, mine had one when purchased. Nice unit. Any of the aftermarket units are a 13" disc too, stock is 12.25" I think.
Forgot to mention the pedal box bushings are new along with push rod and the link that the push rod attaches to also the master and slave cylinder are new , only thing left is the clutch/fly/pressure and a fork I just don't get how it could have gone bad while it was parked. Can you tell I don't want to pull down the tranny

my son's '95 is the same way, due to time we just removed the master cylinder and put 2 flat washers between the master and the fire wall. some day we will do the hemi joint and remove the washers.
the master isn't returning far enough for the fluid to bleed back to the reservoir.

HAAAY buddy. =)
Yeah, Heim Joint so worth it.
I pulled my master and did it on the bench when I did mine.
