clutch problems

clutch problems

i have an 85 ford ranger 2.8l 5spd. i felt my clutch slipping so i changed it out but when i got it all going again its still slipping. i haven't got the clutch 100% bled out but its drivable. but feels almost as if the slave isn't fully returning? hard to tell anybody have this problem before?

Did you replace the slave when you had it down? I had the same problem with my 96,3.0 It would be OK for a while after bleeding the clutch, then would start back not fully releasing.Replaced the slave/clutch/etc, no more problems, took the old slave apart, found what looked like what was left of a paper label inside. 105K miles then.

thanks for the reply i ended up finding the feelings of a clutch slip are coming from my carburetor making the truck try to jump rpms.
