Hi all I had something happen the other day on the highway I'm not sure if it was the death wobble or not, I was going about 82 and hit a bump on a turn and the front lost steering for about 5 seconds, which of course scared the crap out of me, but it stopped on its own. The thing was my steering wheel didn't shake like I have seen on death wobble videos. It just felt like the wheels were bouncing all over. The weird thing is I have been through this section every day and this is the first time it happened, I may of been going too fast this time
If it was Death Wobble you would have needed to slow to nearly a stop for it to quit and yes the steering wheel does shake like crazy. It will pull you all over the road, and @ 82MPH if it happened, you would be posting about skid marks in your tidy whiteys. You more than likely just have a worn shock and had some serious wheel hop going.
Either case, get the front end inspected, you may have loose parts.
