Picked up for $200. Is it fixable? Looks like some wear on the cam housings Chip on the oil pan gasket area (only one) Same w this one. Only 2 pistons have this issue. The rest are fine. 1 Crack on piston.. can something be worded and remachined possibly? 2 More wear
I voted no, but I'm no expert on whether the chips and other issues are repairable. But for me if I'm going to build an engine I'd like to start with a good solid block with no issues.

Take it to a machine shop that specializes in rebuilding blocks. As Dave says what do they say? You'd definitely want to fix the pan gasket sealing surface. So many complain of pan leaks.
$200 is quickly becoming not much money these days. If the machine shop says no you have a nice start on a good mooring anchor. Few bags of concrete, a stainless embedded eyebolt and wah lah...instant boat anchor!
