Possible relay malfunction.... please help!
Hello to all and thank you in advance to suggestions or help you may offer, my problem is the following.
Btw, I'm a long time owner of an 01 EX V10...... bought mine in 2003 with 70k and it still running strong at 250k although its been showing signs of fatigue but I still love it and serves me for what I need at this time.
to the problem....... When I first start my truck in the early mornings to go to work (3am) and cooler temps even down here in Sflorida, my wipers, running board lights, dome lights, pwr mirrors, pwr windows DONT work. Once the vehicle is running for a bit say 5-15 mins and presumably the area where perhaps the relay or the problems stems from rises in ambient temp I hear a very minor and barely noticeable click and everything starts working no problem and then no issues like nothing ever happened. The reason why I suspect this has something to do with the ambient temp around whatever the problem is it's because I only drive my car in the AM for about 10 mins but when I get in it in the daytime with much hotter temps and start the truck to come home this problem never arises and everything works flawlessly from the go. In closing, this has been happening for about a month now so it's something that I need to resolve sooner rather than later.
Any suggestions of where to start problem solving?

I would start with the battery. The most simple of things, i think there might be a battery saver? Which shuts off circuits when voltage is too low. Not 100% these rigs have then but common for (newer) vehicles.
Sounds like its shutting down circuits until you charge it up to an acceptable level, then the voltage bleeds down overnight. Easy to test if you have another vehicles battery you can swap with..

I doubt that it's a battery issue.
That would have been an 02 or newer with the Battery Saver Relay built into the cluster. He has an 01 with the GEM as the heart of everything mentioned (and more) that is malfunctioning.
Sounds like the Battery Saver Relay is getting delayed in energizing. It has to energize in order for both the Accessory Delay Relay and the Interior Lamp relay to energize. All those are controlled by the GEM.
Sounds like a "thermal" open. When cold, it's open due to contraction of the materials. As it warms up, the intermittent connection expands and makes contact.
I'd be focusing my attention on the GEM and its operation.
