Fellow "EFFIE" Fans,
I'm in the process of doing a total restoration on my '53 F100. Fortunately, so far I've been able to find most most of the parts I need - but UN-fortunately not all. The engine and trans are done. The frame and suspension parts have been disassembled, sandblasted and "POR15-ed". So far, so good. Except... I was assembling the front suspension and noticed that both front spring hanger brackets - the ones riveted to the frame - are badly worn. It appears that these parts are no longer available. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Oh... This is my first posting, so bear with me while I figure this out!
Thanks!
I checked the ones on the 56 F100 frame I'm going to scrap and they are oval shaped as well but wondered if you drilled yours out to a larger hole you might get away by inserting steel bushings..
