Looking for someone to verify that their gas pedal is not loose like mine. I can feel bumps under my foot in my pedal. I looked today, and the bottom connector on the pedal let’s it wiggle about half to quarter inch. The bottom bolt attaching the pedal has play in it allowing the pedal to move before engaging.
Normal?
I want to know that it’s not supposed to have a little give for any reason. I’ve never really messed with new gas pedals in vehicles.
I went out and checked my 2022 F350, and it doesn't have any play in the pedal. When I push down with my hand nothing moves until I overcome the spring tension and the pedal begins to depress. Not sure if it makes any difference, but mine has adjustable pedals.
It does have adjustable pedals. It seems like only the bottom slide mount has play in it. The top one does not. I tried posting a short video, but have no idea how to, or if you can.
I moved the pedals all the way forward, towards the drivers seat, and the play is gone as it’s pushed up tight to the stop on the bracket. I’ll see if this helps and I guess confirms the slide mounts on the bracket are loose.
