Hey guys, its been a while since I posted. I've been working on the old Dump Truck and it's really doing well. After a couple Junk ATK 460 engines, warranty claims, wasted oil and time, I decided to go with a Jasper 460. I have to say, this engine is awesome. It runs great and has so much power and lug to it.
It's great to have the BIG GUN Dump Truck back in action.
That's great, I'm really loving that Re made in the USA sticker. I don't do much wrenching anymore but back in the day Jasper was a trusted name. Nice truck.
Lookin' good! love the sticker.
Is that a "performer" (vs. Performer RPM)?
I see you also have the 9mm plug wires, I like your purpose built 9mm cable separators---where did you get them?

Yes Sir. Its a Performer 2166.
The plug wires are Ford Racing from Summit. Motorcraft I believe. I have a buddy that builds crazy horsepower BBF's for pulling trucks and says they are great wires. Part#:FMS-M-12259-R460 Item: 9MM IGNITION WIRE SET RED
I retired a 1985 460 in a 3/4 ton for a 2000 ford small v8 5.something and I was like wow - there really is no replacement for cubic displacement.
Fuel injection certainly doesnt make up for 100 and some less cubic inches
That 750 holley really gets it going I bet.
Stock exhaust manifold and street cam? bet it's a stump puller with those 4.88s.
Nice truck
Thanks! Yes, I've got headers on it from L&L. The truck is set up pretty good, with those gears, on the highway, I'm at 3500 RPM doing 65 MPH. At any speed and any gear, if you put your foot in it a little, that 750 howls and The torque is always "right there".
Today, I hauled a big load of dirt, I could tell it had a good load on it, but that 460 didn't care one little bit. Lots of power to spare.

Thank you very much Rubiranch, its been a long time coming. I first saw the truck setting in a subdivision parked in front of a little old lady's house. She wouldn't answer the door so I left. One day I saw a different car parked next to it and tried again. It was the ladys daughter. Come to find out, it was her brothers, (who was the Mayor.)
I tracked him down and he said he would sell it after he was done hauling gravel. He texted me a year and a half later and said he was done.
