So I pulled the F100 badge off my fender, was a donor for my F150. Looks like the PO broke the badge and welded a thin strip to hold it together. Unfortunatley it rusted and ate through my paint.
I'm looking to cover it up with a 460 badge. Does anyone know of a place to buy them? I turn to you all as you are the 460 masters
They did make a 429 4V for the Larger F series, maybe larger. I bought some once and they were adhesive backed. They came from the Ford dealer.
370 2V/4V & 429 4V emblems (^ pictured: D9TZ-60020A74-C -obsolete ~ 1 available NOS) were introduced in 1979 600 and larger series trucks, but the 460 was never installed in anything larger than an F350.
Just google some. I bought the 460 high performance ones. They offer them in black, blue, and red. I put them right under my f250 badge. Probably going to buy another one for the tailgate soon.
Like 84red I got mine on line... E-bay if I remember right. My 77 didn't have fender badges but the junk yard replacement from an earlier model did. I had the holes like you and the badge hid them completely.
