I’m doing the same. But I did get the dealership to change it around 1400 miles and keep the standard 10W30 conventional in it (finished using up the FP Reward points). Around 5k I did it myself. I then switched over to Rotella T6 5W40 and installed the Fomoto drain valve. I am also sticking with authentic OEM Motorcraft filters. I plan to stick with a 5k mile change interval and T6 if I can continue to get it. But yes, Motorcraft also has a full synthetic.
T6. If you have one, Tractor Supply pretty much always has it in stock and they will price match anyone/anything. (I've gotten them to price match eBay adds before even). I just got some with an Amazon price match so paid $89 for 4 gallons. Then with the current at the time shell rebate I got $30 mail in rebate. So $59 bucks for 4 gallons 👍.
