IDing a glow plug

I get codes for bad glow plug circuit, 10 years, 142K miles, more than likely a bag GP. It's a 2012 and it appears there is a transition period between 2011 and 2012 Powerstroke engines that my truck falls under and could have either type. Is there a way to ID the plug without actually having to go through the trouble of pulling it?

I would suspend a trip to the parts dept. with your vin may do it.
