I have a 2014 Expedition XL EL without a console. Purchased a console @ pull a part from a 2007 Expedition but it is for a console shift. Can mine be changed over to console shift easily? or what do I do with the hole in the console for the shifter. Opinions would be awesome please.
My '17 F150 has the column shift and console. One side of the console is cup holders, the other is open. 4 11/16 X 10 inches.
The chrome "ring" seems like it will pop out or at least snapped in--sometimes it's a one-way deal with things like that. The "well" looks to be a separate piece, held in place by the ring.
I don't want to take mine apart as I'm pretty sure it's going to break something in the process.
IF yours is the same shape and dimensions, you should be able to get those pieces. If it is the same design at least, then you should be able to find the right stuff to snap in there.
Pulling the column shifter and having to fiddle with the column and ignition lock etc, would be a pita and carry a risk to it IMO.
