I have a 2003 F-250 with a 7.3 in it, 4WD with an 8-inch lift already on it. I bought it this way, and I want to lower it, because it rides like crap, and it is just a pain to take anywhere. For now, I was thinking about just going with a leveling kit, and calling it good. I would love to see some pictures of people who have done this, and opinions on what is the best kit to do this with, as far as riding the best, (as possible), quality lift, and sitting level with the back. Also, I would like to know what size tires and wheels with the offsets ya'll are running, because, if possible, I would love to go as big as I can without them rubbing the front springs, because it has 37's on it now, and it rubs quite a bit, and I need a football field to turn it in right now. I know I have to buy all new springs, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I did something very similar. I picked mine up with a 6" and 37s. Dropped to a 4 and "35"s. You will most likely need shorter shocks, rear blocks and u bolts, front springs and u bolts. That's basically a whole kit. What I did was buy a kit and then left the pitman arm and trackbar bracket on the truck. Sold everything else as a complete kit to someone else. You can read my thread if you want. Maybe it can help you out. I'm about to change my springs out again for a softer riding pro comp spring.
It's rubbing 37's with 8" of lift? 37 what on what wheels? I cleared 285/75R16 mud treads on stock wheels in the oilfield and the only time I ever rubbed a tire was when a leaf spring broke. That was on front leveling springs with OG rears until they broke. Pretty sure some guys are clearing 315's with similar setups.

Hes probably got wider than stock wheels and the same offset. Combine that with the taller and wider tire and you get tire rub for days.
