Good question. I want to go with 315 also, but don't know if I need a leveling kit or not. I have 285 now with plenty of room, so I think they will fit. We will know soon enough with the helpful replies from our fellow FTE boys.
When I got my truck it had 315s on it and a 3" front level kit. I had room in the fenderwells for them, but the tires rubbed the springs and turning radius was reduced. I don't think it would have been nice with those tires and no leveling springs. I've got 285s on it now and like it a lot better, no rubbing. So you'll probably want to find some wheels with less backspacing or some spacers if you don't want to rub when turning.
I believe you can run 315's with just a leveling kit, matter of fact I'm sure of it. But if you go wheeling alot I would get a lift so they don't rub. Here's a pic of my truck with 315's on 16x10's with a 6" lift. I really liked that combo because rubbing was never an issue like I have with the 37's now.
