So my clutch is starting to slip on my 04/99 f350 psd when Im accelerating hard in 4th and 5th. What brand of clutch should I get or is one from ford the way to go. thanks for any input. The only mods to the truck so far are a filter and a 60hp superchip. Thanks for any help.

whatever you do, get a heavy duty clutch with at least 3 springs in the clutch disk. I think that 3 springs in the disk is a stupid design. My clutch disk fractured where the springs are. I replaced mine with a HD clutch kit from local parts store. Its a little more noisey (the note on a paper form manufacture said it might be) then stock, but its a good clutch.

The original Ford design has had its problems with the disc. The large springs have been known to come apart and cause damage inside the trany. THE Luk unit is a good start. We also make a few modified units depending on mods and vehicle use. Give me a call to discuss your options.
