I keep saying I need to go check mine. If they fell out, mine are definitely gone as I make sure to hit the cowl hood with water and then a leaf blower. I did try to look once though but wasn’t sure what I was looking for. Do the wipers need to come off to check? It seems like they are hard to see underneath them when installed.
But I use Rain-X in the fluid reservoir and it also beads off, well if going fast enough. In slow city driving i still have to use the wipers occasionally.

I have read on FTE that Rain-X in the reservoir will lead to failure of the washer fluid pump. It seems it dissolves/gums up the rubber parts in there. I am a big fan of Rain-X so I went back to the original formula in the yellow bottle which still works great. I don't want to take the risk the rumors are true. The problem seems to effect Ford products more so than other makes.
DIY? What product? Or did you have it done? How much?
There is a DIY product called FlyBy30 that I've used after the original coating my detailer put on started to wear off. If done correctly it works well for about 6 months and then starts to fade out a little. I love it because I never have to use my wipers. Thanks. I was hoping it would last a little longer, a year at least. Rain X is cheap and lasts a month or 2.
I got the wiper recall on my 2022 F250 6.7 Platinum. I'm heading out on an 1800 mile trek from Chicago to N. Idaho next week. I don't think parts are available yet to fix it at the dealer. Has anyone heard of bad things happening....like the wiper falling off? I'll be in pretty desolate country heading across the U.S. and it would suck to have it fall off in a rainstorm in the middle of no where. Thanks.
Well, I completed my 1800+ mile trip from Chicago to N, Idaho....and my wiper did not fall off! Went through some serious rain in N. Dakota and through Glacier Park with wipers on full blast for 20 min at a time. The truck was incredible overall. Averaged 18.9 mpg driving at 75 to 80 mph and was a dream to drive. I did notice that the regen process really impacts the mileage. It would generally drop about 0.7 mpg after a regen, then gain it back over time. The wife says she wants to take the truck on EVERY trip. Happy wife/happy camper.

Go figure.
I have been using it forever and never had a problem. This is my first ford though. Mo problems on my Nissan’s, Mazda, or GM’s.
I have read the same here as well. I’m not sure if I will go to the rain-X for this one.

I used Rain-X washer fluid in my 07 F-150 and never had a problem. But I paid twice for this truck what I paid for that one! So I'm back to the old tried and true original Rain-X product just to avoid any possible issue. Once you learn the knack of applying it, it's easy and works great for about 8 - 12 weeks.
