I have inspected the truck more closely and believe the problem to be in the axle pivot bushings. They are very cracked and worn. Spring bushings look okay and the springs don't appear to be sagging.
I also notice now that it feels very loose somewhere in the front end going over bumps in the road or curbs, and there is a knocking noise going over those bumps. What is that coming from you think? @GoinBoarding@1TonBasecamp
Almost impossible to say from here. We can only give possibilities because there are several.
Loose or worn wheel bearings, loose or worn attaching bolts, ball joints, bushings, etc.
Even that cracked cross member I mentioned, or a bit of the exhaust hitting something.
probably not the crossmember though, as in my experience at least, when they start to crack or separate from the frame you usually hear it as a squeak or click or clunk when you’re turning the wheels at slow speeds.
Yea without inspecting it myself I can't say. Bad shock bushings or very worn out shocks could make a clunking. Most lift shocks are pretty crummy, maybe they're worn out already. I've had good luck with TTB but they do need to have regular bushing replacements to perform well.
If you want to keep the truck you might consider just refreshing the whole front end. Or if you want a solid axle, maybe just go for that at this time.

I have all new poly bushings on the shocks and they are all good. Yeah I think I am going to just rebuild the whole front, starting with the axle pivot.
