On my 77 F150 SB/4wd It had 31's on it when I bought it, front springs were sagging, so I went with some 1 1/2" coils up front, had 255/85/16's on it at first, then went to 285/75/16's after those, neither one rubbed with the extra 1 1/2" If your springs are sagging, it definitely helps the ride with new springs and shocks.
Yes, NO F150 Highboys, no such animal, I don't recommend wheel spacers on these for the reasons stated above, F150 Scab 4wd had front leaf springs, 74~up. I agree, if you go 33's, 4.10's are the cats meow, I still have 3.50's w/33's and it's not as peppy.
