It's Rab here. I'm back from a long hiatus. I own the Chrome Yellow 69 Ford F250 4x4 Crewcab Stepside named Romeo and the 1951 Ford F5 Marmon Herrington seismic truck named Pancho. It's been a busy few years. I won't bore you with the details but the good news is I now have a 32' x 40' heated shop to work in. We're living up by Rocky Mountain House in South Central Alberta. It's good.
Updates on Romeo: Finished putting Sno Fighter Dana 60's (3.54's) in, along with a rebuilt 390, 4 sp tranny, np435 transfer case. power steering, power brakes. Everything is on the truck but I need to install the driveshafts, completely redo the front and rear brakes (The sno fighter came with a box of brand new brake hardware, including rotors, calipers, power brake booster, the works) and the countless little things that pop up when you do something like this!
Update on Pancho: got the truck running. Really didn't take much, fresh gas and topped up fluids. After seeing online pictures of the sludge that can form in the oil pans of these old trucks I pulled the pan and the oil was...clean. No more sludge than I would find in my 69. Biggest set back with Pancho is I'm still looking for decent rims. The 5 on 8" widow maker rims gotta go. With the current ***** show it is a struggle!! People don't return emails, nobody will give you prices for shipping or a confirmed date to ship. But enough whining. I hope to have Pancho running by the end of the weekend. Have to put on new oil pan gaskets, top up all fluids. I'll put updates in the appropriate forums. Talk to you all later.
