Door Seal Replacement
I still have the van I rebuilt back in 2006 with the help of this forum.
One of the items that I did not tackle at that time were the door seals.
Now is the time and hopefully today will wrap up the last day for cleaning and painting the doors in prep to add the door seals.
I already installed the seals to the front driver and passenger doors.
Now the cargo and rear doors.
The front door seals were supplied with self adhesive glue strip, pull the strip and apply, which seems to be working.
I noticed when removing the cargo and rear doors that the seals were glued on two surfaces, with a brushed on glue.
My question: Should I be adding additional brush on glue to the seals, or is the self adhesive glue strip enough to do the job?
I bought the cargo and rear door seals from RockAuto and so far have not found a way to ask questions for install.
Thanks and my 300 six with Clifford and Holley are doing just fine.
If later you find they are coming loose then use 3M weather strip glue, either black or yellow (black will not show up like yellow if not under the rubber)

My concern with your suggestion was coming back with a contact glue after the strip glue is already in place.
Contact glue wants to be applied and then air dried before applying together.
I have never used the 3M weather strip glue, so hopefully that is the ticket.
What ever was used the last time really worked.
3M has an installation clip with the seal on the door but not attached, as if the glue failed and a person is regluing the seal to the door.
The glue is applied to the seal and the door, spread-ed on to the door with a flat tool, and then placed together without dry-set up time.
Looks like the information I was after.
Thanks again Dave.
I put some on the body side and then stick the rubber seal to it, no set up time.
When I did all the weather seals on my 81 F100 none used or needed gluing.
Good luck on the weather strip install.
