2017 f350 shows low oil pressure light and check engine light. Had auto zone run the code P0198. Looked and found the sensors, but there are NO wires to the sensors. They have been cut! Anyone know why that might have been done? I have attached a pic of sensors.
They could have been chewed thru by mice, squirrel or rats. Was the wiring harness just hanging or pushed out of the way? Also do you live in town or in a rural area?
I live in a town. No harness anywhere. The wires are cut perfectly, don’t think rodents can be that good. Is there some kind of after market parts that would bypass the originals from ford?
Unfortunately I think Smokepole was right and a rodent has eaten the through it. Found a cut/eaten wire on the back side (see attached photo). Now trying to figure out if it’s just one harness to both sensors.
I had the same thing done by squirrels.
Ford parts sells a replacement pigtail.
Ive hung a plastic bottle with holes in the bottle with moth ***** in the bottle and have not had a problem since.
